On February 28, the “Georgian Association of Oncological Urology” held another large-scale conference on the topic: “Modern Management of Prostate Cancer.”
The event covered the latest innovations and approaches in prostate cancer screening and management, including:
▪️ Current practices of prostate cancer screening in Georgia
▫️ Micro-ultrasound (29MHz) for early cancer diagnosis
▪️ Strategies for active surveillance of tumors
▫️ Advancements in robotic surgery in Georgia and the Caucasus
▪️ Robotic ultrasound thermal ablation of the prostate (RUTA)
▫️ Micro-ultrasound-based transperineal/targeted fusion biopsy as the “gold standard.”
⚕️ The conference was attended by 100 leading specialists, including urologists, clinical oncologists, radiation therapists, and radiologists, who shared their experiences with one another.
